| The team journey started many years ago with its roots in the discovery and emergence of the prophetic gift in church situations. The current leaders come from a variety of creative, intercessory, pastoral and teaching backgrounds based in Southampton. At different times each leader began to focus and develop their prophetic gifting depending on the resources and training available to them and their churches experience. |

However, the foundations of the current team can actually be found in the creation of a Prophetic Team in 1997, mentored by Graham Cooke, based in Southampton and led by Mark Iles. As a part of Graham's ministry they were all able to obtain considerable experience in the use of the prophetic gift, through access to travelling and conference teaching and ministry. This enabled significant growth in their anointing and understanding of the gift. It was during this time they learnt the importance of accountability and serving the wider church, while at the same time sowing the seeds of their belief in team ministry, serving the local church and building through relationships.
The next critical stage in the teams' journey came in 2003. As changes occurred in Graham's ministry, the church leadership encouraged Mark to start the first of what became a series of prophetic discipleship groups. With the assistance of Lizzie Cox and Joy Chalke, the team developed the ministry and relationship values of the discipleship groups. This also gave them an opportunity to reemphasise serving the local church through the prophetic, and move into a new level of corporate prophetic ministry.
The next two years enabled the identification and development of their current multi-church model in the team structure. The prophetic discipleship groups also proved very successful in developing personal growth, cohesion within the team and a growing vision for prophetic team ministry.
In autumn 2004 a strategic decision was made to adopt a team name, to leave behind ministry based around personalities and reflect the new heart, team ministry and identity that had formed. This resulted in the adoption of 'PRISM Training' as the title that the team would operate under in future. This has proved significant in the team's perception of itself, and how the churches they serve view their integrity and support as a prophetic resource.
As part of its ongoing journey and development the Team is currently discerning and embracing a 'Vision for Cities', and as a result is seeking to find different prophetic ways to serve the 'Church in the City'. The Team currently runs a number of prophetic discipleship groups in Southampton; Prophetic schools and Conferences where required; and works with churches to develop their own prophetic teams.
